Rain, rain go away?

Rain, rain go away?

For many, the concept of rain means curling up with a good book and sitting surrounded by blankets. But what do you do when you've run out of books to read and fires to sit by? What can be done to keep the kids entertained?

Here are a few suggestions to make the next rainy day a bit more exciting!

The first suggestion that comes highly recommended is Axe throwing. Axe throwing is fun group activity that offers a competitive edge in a safe environment. Many axe throwing ranges offer a wide array of snacks and drinks to accommodate different tastes.  It doesn't matter if you are a lumberjack or have never thrown an axe in your life, axe throwing ranges will teach you the proper way to throw an axe.

Perhaps you aren't looking for something quite as adventurous or you have young ones that you don't trust with an axe.

The next suggestion that is filled with family fun would be visiting a trampoline park. Trampoline parks offer games and obstacle courses for all ages. As an added bonus , children can burn off that rainy day energy that gets pent up.

For some, adventure and rainy days don't mix. This is the perfect opportunity to visit your local library. Local libraries often offer family oriented fun ranging from magic shows to story tellings. In some cases they also offer arts and craft days which allows your family to express their creative side. The quiet of the library is a perfect place to sit and listen to the rain or to find a book with a new interest.

So, perhaps the next time you hear rain is in the forcast you'll plan a new adventure, even if its just turning the pages of a new book. .
